I’ve been really fortunate to find so many awesome people to photograph in Austin, but getting to fly to my hometown, Charleston, West Virginia to photograph Danielle and Ryan and take a little mini-break this June was exactly what I needed to rejuvenate after May’s hectic (although amazing!) schedule.
I’ve had a good solid two months of editing till 2 a.m. every night, just trying to catch up on all those awesome weddings, and I know I’ve been a little too distracted to blog about all the wonderful things I’ve been up to, but I can’t believe I haven’t posted these photos yet! This really is one of my favorite engagement sessions. We got rained out the first day we went to shoot, so we all came back on a sunny day, with hot summer clothes, a beautiful up-do on Danielle, and their little puppy!
Ryan and Danielle are high school sweethearts – they’ve been together for 8 years, they were voted cutest couple in high school (and Danielle was voted “most artistic!”), and I don’t think I’ve ever met a couple more in tune with each other than these two. They were so amazing to work with because they gave me complete artistic freedom. It’s always a blast for everyone when I’m given the blessing to ‘do whatever I want’ and they were just wonderful to work with. Up for anything, down for anything. I adore working with them, I can’t wait for their wedding! Thank you again for the awesome weekend of shooting annnnddd the early June mini-break from Austin’s blistering heat
