I was honored to be able to capture the magic of Sam and Will’s free-spirited wedding at Coolidge Family Farm in Maine. Smoky sunsets over hay fields, wildflower meadows running riot with color, and rustic barns full of vintage charm – I was thrilled to be invited to capture everything that made their celebration so special.
I appreciate a couple who wants to forgo tradition on their wedding day. It’s a chance to forget all the rules and embrace your combined spirit of freedom, adventure, and creativity, in whatever way best represents your relationship.
It was radiant joy wrapped up in so much emotion that we all couldn’t help but revel in it.
This unique and whimsical celebration was low-key from the beginning. Sam and Will got ready in the same farmhouse on different levels, full of anticipation but no stress as they thought about the upcoming commitment.
Their meaningful first look was full of such sweetness and a quiet, calm readiness to be husband and wife. I loved capturing those tender moments. But then, Sam and Will’s lively personalities broke through and we laughed our way to the ceremony.
The happy couple decided to walk themselves down the aisle together, which immediately infused their celebration with relaxation and creativity, and the outdoor ceremony space in the Farm’s sanctuary was full of natural Maine beauty. It was the perfect backdrop
From start to finish, the union was a fully immersive experience where guests were welcome to participate, and there was so. much. joy.
Instead of stuffy speeches and a formal dinner, guests were treated to food truck burgers and fries, locally made desserts (including the Northeastern specialty of Whoopie Pies), and a host of playful activities. From lawn football to horseshoes, to a fully dedicated Lego building space, it was a menagerie for the senses.
Laughter filled the air as everyone let their hair down and enjoyed each other’s company. It was clear that this couple had prioritized their happiness above all else, and their wedding was a true reflection of their unique love story.
I enjoyed each thoughtful moment and meaningful touch for this wedding day at Coolidge Family Farm. Sam and Will’s love for one another was resplendent and I can’t wait to share these photos.
