I just love these Kings Creek Inn wedding photos. Sunsets on a dock, string lights around a tent, and southern food? Yes please.
After hearing that Megan and Fred were renovating an old farm house in PA, I knew I wanted to shoot their wedding. I met them for the first time on their wedding day and I instantly loved them. They’re warm and inviting, funny and charming. We spent some time in Cape Charles before the ceremony. Exploring the strip, taking photos in front of the old theater in town, just a few blocks from the ocean. Their wedding day was warm and perfect when we arrived at Kings Creek Inn.
All of Megan and Fred’s guests took their turn walking the long dock out to the water. With the smell of BBQ in the air, they filled their plates with southern food; cornbread, mussels, and green beans. As the sunset, when the skies turned from yellow to orange to dark blue, the string lights illuminated the tables dressed with vintage patterned napkins and music poured out of the tent where stacks of Little Debbie Fancy Cakes and swirled sherbet were served as dessert. I loved how much of themselves they put into every detail. There was dancing and sparklers, laughing and drinking. This wedding felt just like coming home.
