I first met Rita and Ken when I was taking photos of their little one. It was a family photo session plus maternity photos for baby number two. Last year, we did some family portraits so I got to meet their second, and this session felt like the best kind of callback because this was another maternity session for baby number three and the weather really showed up for us.
We took portraits on a little peninsula that juts out into the water of Loch Raven Reservoir. The boys busied themselves with feed geese rocks (the geese were disappointed, but kept falling for it) and we walked along the small sandy beach to take a few portraits. Sunset at Loch Raven is always a little special. The sun falls behind the clouds before it touches down through the trees and the light was a little overcast, giving us a perfect diffused glow for the evening. This is how their session went.
