Miriam and Mathew met at a wedding in Spain. Mathew lives in the US, Miriam lives in Germany, but between Skype and phone calls, they’ve had a beautiful relationship for years.
This past spring, before Miriam returned to Germany, I got to spend an afternoon with her and Mathew taking photos around Frederick, Maryland. A trip to a soda shop, warm sunlight, a denim jacket, grey cardigan, lots of laughs, and a bittersweet goodbye.
