This engagement session at the National Portrait Gallery in DC features all the things I love: geometric shapes, light and shadows, and red lipstick.
Haley and Robert were married last weekend, but I haven’t shared their engagement photos yet and I’ve been dying to. This girl knows how to wear red lipstick. We waited outside patiently for the National Portrait Gallery to open. The atrium filled with people, even that early in the morning. People setting up laptops, kids splattering through the water on the floor. But we were there for the light. The grid patterns that beamed down on the floor, the trees that hid in the corners of the room, and, of course, the paintings. I loved getting to wander around and last past landscape paintings as tall as the ceiling. We came, we saw, we took pictures.
